Review:Iron Locket by Samantha Warren-Blog Tour

Aiofe Callaghan comes from a long line of faery hunters. Hired by one of the faery queens, they protect the human world from chaos and destruction. But when Aiofe stumbles through an open door into the land of Faery, she discovers the job isn't as simple as it seems, nor is she.

Arthur Pendragon spent centuries in blissful nothingness, until the day the four queens banded together to raise him from the dead. Along with his twelve most talented knights, he leads the warring armies of Faery against the greatest enemy they have ever known: one of their own.

Can they overcome their differences to confront the greatest challenges either of them have ever faced?

First of all I am a sucker for any kind of paranormal romance so I know a lot about anything paranormal. But a writer has to think that the reader is new to this kind of books and they should also create their own world for the people who know a lot so we don't have to assume. Somewhere in the book a fairy gets mad saying I don't lie and that's it no explanation about anything. There should be explanations first of all fairies cannot lie. Second fairies are cruel creatures. Third they have very long life spans. Fourth and most important fairies are the masters of deflection . Taking these and my knowledge of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table it's a fascinating idea. A capturing book and a very beautiful style begining from two diffrent perspectives and combining them at the end. The story seemed kind of cut. But it is saved up for the next books I'm guessing. I liked the concept everything except just as I have said there should be more information more depth to the story. It was worth my time nevertheless.

About the Author

Samantha Warren is a fantasy and science fiction author who spends her days immersed in dragons, spaceships, and vampires.

In the name of research, she enlisted the help of her pet dragon Anethesis and together they built a Noah’s Ark-like spaceship. Three trips through a hole in the time-space continuum allowed the pair to explore the universe decades into the past and eons into the future. They discovered how life would be without Earth and were forced to run from alien law enforcement when their spaceship was deemed unspaceworthy. In the long run, the constant demands of space travel and repairs cut into Samantha’s sock fetish fund, so she was forced to sell her ark for half-price to a slimy creature that made Jabba the Hutt look like Brad Pitt.

After her years of traveling, she returned to her roots. When she isn’t writing or reading, she is milking cows or trying to feed them Pop-Tarts and FiberOne bars (they like neither). She also spends a lot of time in her weed patch (aka: garden), drinking lattes at the Village Cafe, or watching any show featuring Gordon Ramsay. Anethesis remains by her side, sleeping away the day and hunting evil cat-eating coyotes by night.

Review: Escape (Vampire King Triology) by Kenya Wright

Escape

Writer: Kenya Wright

A domina’s only purpose in life was to birth vampire children for the Quiet King. Any human woman with the domina gene spent their lives in the castle under strict rules and the guards’ watchful eyes. Brie has been a domina for two years. After witnessing the slaughter of babies, she plans to escape and seeks help from Samuel, a vampire known for aiding many out of slavery.

However, Samuel has only one policy. He won’t help dominas escape the king. The penalty is too high and their blood triggers powers in him that he doesn’t want released. So Brie is forced to lie about being a domina and Samuel is lured in by her blood. Something emerges within them that they can’t deny, overwhelming their every cell and igniting an all-consuming hunger that neither can flee.

The concept was great. A totally original idea after all. To top it all it had illustrations! It has been a long time since I truly enjoyed a vampire themed novell. It was hot, funny and captivating.(Since I read way too many of them they all started to look same to me with little diffrences.) It was easy to read but I'm not saying that the language is weak. It was filled with adventure from the start and I must admit that I really felt the need and sexual tension between Brie and Samuel. Also it keeps you wondering non-stop so you cannot drop it from your hand. It was this well written. But it was shorter than I expected. I was expecting a bit more character info I guess. But let me hint you the writer covered that up at the next books. Since I already devoured all three of the books I think there's no need to say that I would read the other books of the series since I already gladly did. But she is definitely one of the writers that I'm going to follow from now on. I am recomending it to everyone.

My reviews for the 2#Captured and 3#Freed will be here in no time.

 Author Info

Kenya Wright always knew she would be famous since the ripe old age of six when she sang the Michael Jackson thriller song in her bathroom mirror. She has tried her hand at many things from enlisting in the Navy for six years as a Persian-Farsi linguist to being a nude model at an art university.

However, writing has been the only constant love in her life. Will she succeed? Of course.

For she has been coined The Urban Fantasy Queen, the Super Iconic Writer of this Age, The Lyrical Genius of Our Generation. Granted, these are all terms coined by her, within the private walls of her bathroom as she still sings the Michael Jackson thriller song.

Kenya Wright currently resides in Miami with her three amazing, overactive children, a supportive, gorgeous husband, and three cool black cats that refuse to stop sleeping on Kenya’s head at night.
